More "Journalism" at ADN

Oh Lord. I almost hate even bringing up ADN again (or EVER again), but once again, it seems like their writers are disguised HuffPo bloggers, not true journalists. Of course it's about Sarah Palin, their favorite whipping horse. This time, it's her invitation for her friends to watch Glenn Beck's programs this week exposing who these czars and unknown (largely radical) people are whom Obama surrounds himself with. As always, the Anchorage Daily News misses the point-- I suspect, on purpose to advance their embarrassingly obvious anti-Palin agenda.

Here is what Sarah wrote on her Facebook page:

FOX News' Glenn Beck is doing an extraordinary job this week walking America behind the scenes of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and outlining who is actually running the White House.

Monday night he asked us to invite one friend to watch; tonight I invite all my friends to watch.

-Sarah Palin

Now, to me this statement is exactly what it sounds like. An invitation to her friends to watch some interesting profiles of people who we aren't very familiar with, who have some very great power in the Whitehouse now. To ADN, though, it's another vast right-wing-Palin conspiracy.

They waste no time outlining their agenda:

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is jumping into the fray over FOX News talk show host Glenn Beck, whose assertion last month that President Barack Obama is "a racist" led to a boycott of the companies advertising on his show, and ultimately, led some to drop their sponsorship of his show.

Palin's statement is not about Beck's controversial remark, it's merely stating that she thinks he is doing a good job getting an inside look at the people in Obama's administration. She didn't support Beck's racial comment, or even mention it.

Palin is referring to Beck’s attack this week on the background of Van Jones, who the Los Angeles Times describes as "a White House environmental advisor and co-founder of an African American political advocacy group that organized an advertising boycott of his program.

Here we find the word "attack" inappropriately placed. Big surprise. Any kind of attempt to expose the radical roots of these people in Obama's administration is referenced as an "attack." The media know the power of words and they tweak them to serve their agenda. They slip them in, as in this article. And Palin is not just referring to Beck's piece on Van Jones, she's talking about the week long series Beck is doing "walking America behind the scenes" of this administration. Yes, Beck started with Jones, but she's inviting people to watch the entire week of Beck's series, not just his "attack" on Van Jones.

The whole article is horrifically slanted. Granted it is posted on the Alaska Politics blog on the ADN site, but still-- it sits on the front page of their site, masquerading as a "news" article on the issue.

All I have to say is THANK GOD, we don't subscribe to this piece of garbage newspaper anymore. The fish we wrap with it have more journalistic integrity than ADN does.

I am glad Palin is sticking around and not hiding her head in the sand!
